This summer we're teaching paracord survival bracelets in all our classes - throughout the week, these young campers were encouraged to dismantle their bracelets to use their paracord for creative applications - such as shelter, traps, and first-aid scenarios! Kids are encouraged to be resourceful, using their wit to make the most from their circumstances.

In our wilderness homeschool Graham processed blackberry and stinging nettle into natural rope to use for crafting projects! The nettle leaves were saved to brew tea to over a fire maintained by August and Dylan.

Skills aren’t just taught; they’re used. Learning fire lets kids cook, twisting cordage lets kids tie together rafts and nets.
