It has been a meaningful and inspiring week! Thank you to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago—and Alison, Tammie, Erin, Smillie, muralist , Beth Ruark, and the EF team—for inviting the Hidden Truths Projects to participate in the community mural project. It was an incredible day spent connecting with people living with epilepsy, parents, siblings, and advocates, all brought together through the shared language of art.
Art has the unique ability to connect people, transform personal experiences into shared understanding, and tell stories from the inside out. It is an act of truth-telling, meaning-making, and community building. I left the day inspired, hopeful, and deeply grateful to everyone who made these experiences possible.

Guided by therapeutic photography practitioner and artist Alison Beaumont - Artist(.art), this 90-minute session offers gentle, accessible exercises you can do right from your home—no experience needed.
Through mindful photography, you’ll learn to:
✨ Slow your thoughts and become more present
✨ Notice beauty in everyday surroundings
✨ Cultivate feelings of awe, gratitude, and calm
✨ Shift perspective through creative expression
Research shows that moments of awe can reduce stress, increase emotional well-being, and deepen our sense of connection. With just your phone or camera, you’ll explore how small, intentional pauses can create meaningful change.
This workshop extends Hidden Truths Project’s mission to use art as a pathway for storytelling, healing, and understanding—especially for those whose experiences are often unseen.

On Memorial Day, we honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — and we hold space for the families and communities who carry their legacy forward.
At Hidden Truths Project, we believe in the power of art to reveal, to heal, and to connect us. As we remember those who served, we are reminded of the courage, resilience, and humanity at the heart of every story.
May we move through today with reflection, compassion, and appreciation for those who sacrificed so much.
