MYTH vs FACT
Myth: Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and a heart attack are the same thing.
Fact: They’re not. A heart attack is a circulation problem — a blockage stops blood flow to the heart. SCA is an electrical malfunction that stops the heart instantly, and it can be caused by a condition you’re born with or one that develops over time.
Knowing the difference matters — SCA needs CPR and an AED right away.
