Join us this Friday at Lifelines as we welcome special guest speaker Greg Baxter, LMFT.
Greg is a retired Major in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, with 20 years of honorable service. Greg was commissioned in 2004 and received formal MOS training as an Infantry Officer w/ combat deployments to Iraq. Working through and overcoming personal struggles with addiction, finding recovery in 2014, Greg gained a sincere appreciation for the needs of service members with respect to their mental health.
After active duty service, through work, life experience, and newfound appreciation for his role as a father, Greg discovered his un-tapped desire and aptitude as a mental health professional. Graduating w/ honors and part of the Psi Chi International Honors Society in Psychology from Pepperdine University Graduate School in Education and Psychology, Greg completed state licensure requirements as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, where he primarily serves the First Responder and veteran populations in south Orange County, CA.
Greg credits his resilience to the many members of his own care team, his fellowship, and the โbright spotโ in his life, his son. He emphasizes the importance of personal self-care, introspection, and keeping his program simple. He believes that there is no point to suffering if you canโt make meaning from it and turn it into something positive.
7 PM at The Crossing in Costa Mesa. All are welcome to attend this open meeting.
