Helen Rose (1908-1985) was an American costume designer for MGM who helped create the glamorous look of many actresses, including Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, and Lana Turner. Her designs were natural-looking, elegant, and innovative, and she was an expert at working with chiffon. Rose won two Academy Awards for Best Costume Design and was nominated for eight others
