In its ongoing mission to improve population health in South Louisiana, STHS unveiled its newest mobile screening unit on July 10 — the Breathe Well ConneCTion, a first-of-its-kind lung cancer screening vehicle in our region. 💨💙

This innovative unit joins the beloved Be Well Bus (mobile mammography), extending STHS’s reach even further by delivering potentially life-saving cancer screenings directly to our communities — at festivals, health fairs and local events across the parish.

💡 Did you know? When St. Tammany Health System was founded in 1954 to serve residents of Western St. Tammany Parish, it had 17 community physicians on staff and 15 nurses.

Seventy years later, more than 600 physicians are credentialed to practice at the hospital alongside the health system’s nearly 3,100 employees, placing STHS among the parish’s largest employers.
