This is the new look going forward. I may upgrade to a waterproof plastic shelf but that’s a huge maybe.

I’m 💯 certain who broke the library. It was not kids or teens, it was the result of the carelessness of an adult caretaker.
This was a trend I was dealing with for a little while now.
The library breaking was the logical conclusion.

Since this caretaker cannot be counted on to regulate destructive behavior, I have to store books in such a way that there are books available but no possibilities for broken equipment—hence cardboard boxes.

I’m not giving up sharing books. Literacy is too important!
