Walking your dog off leash isn't just dangerous—it can also be illegal in many public places. 🚫

While the goal of training is to have a dog that listens and responds reliably both on and off-leash, it's never best practice to walk your dog off-leash in public. A leash gives you the most control in any situation and helps keep your dog safe.

Even the best-trained dogs can become distracted 🤪, startled, or excited and make a poor decision. An off-leash dog can run into traffic, approach an unfriendly dog, or get into a dangerous situation before you have a chance to react. 🫣

That's why it's always best to keep your dog on a leash when out in public. A leashed dog is a protected dog! ✨🐾
