Hey Niko Insurance Group customers, family, and friends!
First, I want to sincerely thank all of you for your continued support as we enter our 6th year in business. Our mission remains the same today as it was on day one: to provide a different insurance experience and continue bringing you the best carriers, strong coverage options, and competitive rates.
With that being said, I am excited to officially announce our partnership with Liberty Mutual!
Liberty Mutual is a name that needs no introduction. We've proudly offered Liberty Mutual for commercial insurance, and now we're excited to bring them to our personal lines customers as well.
Adding Liberty Mutual to our carrier line up gives us even more flexibility to help homeowners, auto insurance customers, landlords, and families find the right coverage at the right price.
Thank you again for trusting Niko Insurance Group. We wouldn't be here without you!

Little PSA from your local insurance guy 👋
This December weather is wild… if you’ve got water in your basement, I hope this helps somebody.
Quick reminder: Homeowners insurance does NOT cover flooding.
Flood = outside water coming into your home (ground water, overflow, heavy rain seeping in, etc.). That’s a completely separate type of policy. You don’t have to be in a flood zone to buy it but most don’t if they aren’t due to the cost.
What many homeowners do have (or should check for) is Water Backup coverage (an endorsement).
That helps if water backs up through sewers / drains / sump pump. It’s usually not automatic, it’s an add on you have to select and pay for.
If you have water damage and believe you need to file a claim here’s a little tip
✅ pull up your declarations page and look for something like:
“Water Backup,” “Sewer/Drain Backup,” or “Sump Overflow” (it’ll show a limit like $5,000 / $10,000 / $25,000). There will also be a deductible that varies but in most cases $500+.
⚠️ don’t call your insurance company’s claims department “just to ask” if you’re unsure.
Instead, call your agent/company service line first . A “claim inquiry” can sometimes get logged even if you don’t file so only call claims if you’re certain you want to file.
🛑 One more thing to keep in mind 🛑
If you’ve had a claim in the last 5 years (even on another property)
I’m not saying don’t file a claim but it’s important to know this- 2 claims in 5 years can trigger a non-renewal and the next incoming carrier isn’t usually eager to insure too.
Hopefully saves someone a headache and always here to help!
