The best family photos don’t happen when everyone is standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera.

They happen when little feet are running through the grass, dresses are twirling, siblings are giggling, and parents are simply soaking in the moment.

My approach to family photography is simple: let kids be kids. No pressure. No forced smiles. Just space to play, explore, cuddle, laugh, and be exactly who they are.

Because years from now, you’ll want to remember more than what everyone looked like—you’ll want to remember who they were.

The wild energy. The tiny hand squeezes. The belly laughs. The way they ran to you when they needed comfort.

Those are the moments worth preserving. 🤍

Senior Sunday! I took these images of Evan last fall and I unfortunately never got around to posting them. I had started a new job at Ivy Tech and needless to say it can be really difficult to transition jobs, or be a full time working mom. That’s been the last year and a half for me really. I’m still shooting…just not posting 😕. Well I figured since Evan is getting ready to start college, it was time to share his high school senior photos.
