Cullman County 4-H

Today’s daycamp made my heart full! If you know me (Ms. Kerri) you know horses are what got me started with Extension many years ago! We had an active horse club in Cullman 4-H for many years but not lately. Having a wing woman- Ms. Daphne who also loves horses has been a blessing! She led a horse daycamp today. We visited LEAD, Plumb Lazy Ranch and Dunn Legacy Tack Store. Youth learned about grooming, brands, did a communication exercise, learned how to saddle and lead a horse, made horsey snacks, had stick horse barrel races and explored the tack shop!

Next Wednesday we will take our educational summer programs to Hanceville Public Library for their summer series! Come visit and learn about Bird Beaks and amazing adaptations at 10am!
