Today you’re one, which doesn’t seem possible. I’ve never had a relationship like the one with you, I’ve never been loved so purely; I didn’t know love so pure could exist. You’ve given me hope in a world that I’ve had so little in so for many years. You’ve helped me heal in ways I know I never would have the strength to on my own. You’ve given me so much, more than some sappy post can describe.. truly altering the course of my life in every good way possible. You’re my best friend, my beanie baby, my rivs, my heart. On to the toddler years we go, with you chirping away words, learning to walk, and being so much more than the sum of all your parts. I love you River, I always will.
