We have two great remote medical coding positions - 40 hours a week for 6 months, with possibility of extension. CCS, RHIT, or RHIA is required. The role will require the ability to code inpatient and outpatient hospital based records.

An AHIMA certification is required.
Training will be onsite in Sylmar, CA for up to 4 weeks.

Full Job Description
Candidate will be working both day & evening shifts. Day begins at 6am and the evening begins at 11am. Schedule will include both weekdays and weekends

DURATION: 13-week assignment with the opportunity to extend

WA food handler permit required; may obtain after start (30 minute online course that costs $10)

COVID Vaccination - Must be fully vaccinated (2 doses) or apply for a medical or religious exemption

Compliance requirements: Background screening, drug screening, standard clinical immunizations including HepA (required within first month of start, with completed series within six months of start),

JOB SUMMARY: Prepares and services specified food for patients and cafeteria customers, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read and understand product labels, recipes, and menus.
Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
The ability to understand specific verbal or written instructions and procedures.
Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge.

One or more years of cooking experience or comparable healthcare food service experience.

Onsite in downtown Columbia.

Shift: Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30. 13 Week Contract assignment, may be extended.

Job Duties:

Assembles, analyzes, records and enters deficiencies within 2 days after record is received.
Monitors and tracks documents for signature completion.
Files outpatient dictation, pathology, laboratory and other loose material.
Assists in physician’s incomplete area during physician peak times, by serving as back up to reviewers, couriers, and analysts.
Assures all outstanding worksheets are available to the appropriate physician when he comes to the department to work.
Must have 1 year experience.

A degree in Health Information is highly desired.

HCC Coding Projects Nov - Jan. $25/hr - 20hrs/week minimum. W2 employee of Codebusters. Remote - set your schedule. Must have 2 years HCC coding exp and be credentialed by AHIMA or AAPC.
