We're a creative technology company focused on bringing technology more into harmony with the human

01/09/2025

The fires sweeping through California have left us heartbroken. As a company rooted in Los Angeles, we feel the pain of our communities – the fear, the loss, the uncertainty.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected – families, neighbors, partners, and colleagues. To the firefighters and first responders, your relentless courage inspires us.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of standing together and doing the right thing. Supporting each other. Lending a hand.

Together, we can help rebuild. Together, we’ll rise.

Google I/O '24 05/23/2024

When announcing the date of Google I/O 2024, an accessible, social and exciting way was needed to encourage people to save-the-date. Google partnered with Left Field Labs to create an interactive puzzle with twists, turns and teleportations around every curve. Paper-prototyping began in Figma, with the question “How might we create an addictingly fun game reminiscent of retro marble mazes?” From art to dev, our teams designed atomic game components that built in complexity, with each level ending in a festive celebration. The final result? 15 levels of twists, turns and nonstop fun! How many levels did you complete? Don’t slow your roll!

Google I/O '24 Get ready for Google I/O! Solve the puzzle to unlock our 2024 date. But heads up, the path to success won't be so straightforward.

Congratulations to our CEO, Sarah Mehler, Moderator, Michael Munoz, Global Marketing DEI Lead at Google, Shanika Hope, Director, Tech Education at Google and David Bartlett, CEO of The LOTE Agency for an important discussion last week at .

The panel took place in the and shared the 5 key principles to developing AI tools for under-recognized and vulnerable communities:

1. Why and Who: You must understand the Why and then the Who before jumping to a solution.
2. Trust: You must focus on building trust - just because you've created a solution, doesn't mean that users will care (or trust you to use it).
3. Human in the loop: A real-time feedback loop is critical. We must include the humans we’re designing for.
4. Impact: Understanding that there will always be three types of impact: intended impact, real impact, and unintended impact. So continue to focus on user-centered and human-focused design as your true north.
5. Pushing boundaries: When pushing the boundaries and creating global content, accessibility isn't something you tack on at the end of a project, it must be a core goal from the beginning.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, our Founder and CEO Sarah Mehler shared her experience in leadership, where she talks about the power of positive disruption while remaining true to yourself. “Leaders must foster environments where everyone feels valued, understood, and empowered to take risks and innovate. When we’re using technology to create useful products and inclusive experiences for the good of humanity, bringing one’s whole self to the work is vital. And the outcome?
