System Envy

It’s If you know me, you know that my boys are my entire world. I always say there must be a reason God gave me all boys. I don’t know exactly what that reason is but I couldn’t possibly be more grateful.

Yessss! And while this is such a true life lesson, it’s very, very true in business. Yes, there are lots of “should be doings” when you’re starting a business, and those are great things to try. To experiment with. Because the real truth is that no one knows what exactly will work. There is a LOT of experimenting. It’s up to you to decide what is the next best thing to try for your business. It has taken most of us years to finally become successful in business (through lots of experimenting). And believe me when I say...10 years ago, I did not want to wait, I wanted success and I wanted it now. Like, right now. My point: I say this often. There is no failure, only learning. Learn and move forward.

Ummm, hello 2020 👀 I’m looking at you. 💁🏻‍♀️ Happy Monday, friends. Tell me one thing you’ve learned in 2020 (I know, I know...One thing? How bout 7000 things). One of the biggest things I’ve learned in 2020 is that whenever I’m feeling anxious I need to stop and consciously root myself in the present, the very moment I’m in. Because chances are, right in this moment, everything is ok. I heard say something like this earlier this year and it has completely shifted how I handle my anxiety. He said that anxiety is simply worry about the future. So if you can ground yourself in what is real, this moment that is happening right now, there’s nothing to worry about. For whatever reason this hit home for me and really made a difference, especially this year 🤪🤪 What’s a 2020 lesson you’ve learned? Do tell!
