It takes real cooperation for 8 chickens to lay eggs in the same spot! It's unusual for 100% of my chickens to lay an egg on the same day during winter too. Chickens often stop laying entirely during winter, presumably because the eggs aren't likely stay warm enough to hatch.

We suffered a raccoon attack last night! It went into the coop after dark, but before I closed the door. One chicken was reduced to a pile of feathers. We found another one without a head or neck. That's the perverted way a raccoon eats a chicken. Time to pare down the raccoon population! I used the headless body as trap bait, though I doubt the raccoon is dumb enough to go into a undisguised trap.

My corn is done! I didn't notice, but fortunately the deer were keeping a close eye on it. How about 5 for a dollar? If you place an order, I'll have it ready for you.
