Le Programme de contestation judiciaire tient à saluer la mémoire de Me Gérard Lévesque, qui laisse derrière lui une riche contribution à l’évolution des droits linguistiques au pays. Fier membre de la communauté franco-ontarienne, il a œuvré à l’épanouissement des communautés de langue officielle en situation minoritaire, y compris à titre de président du Comité des langues officielles du PCJ de 1987 à 1991.

The Court Challenges Program would like to honour the memory of Gérard Lévesque, who leaves a rich legacy of contributions to the evolution of language rights in Canada. A proud member of the Franco-Ontarian community, he sought the flourishing of official language minority communities in so much of what he did, including as Chair of the CCP’s Official Languages Committee from 1987 to 1991.

We offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
