Business mileage increased from 58.5 to 62.5 cents. Medical/Moving increased from 18 to 22. Charitable unchanged at 14 cents.

IRS to Handle Unemployment Returns

The IRS has indicated it will refigure taxes on returns that were filed prior to the $10,200 unemployment benefit exclusion. The IRS will then send any refund amount directly to the taxpayer. The IRS is advising that Federal returns should not be amended; however, if you file state returns in states that conform to the federal unemployment exclusion, you may still need to file amended state returns.
