Texas real estate forms are getting a major update in 2026.
TREC and Texas REALTORS® are revising contracts, disclosures, listing agreements, broker compensation language, notices, addenda, and more.
Some forms may be used voluntarily once released, while several mandatory TREC forms take effect July 1, 2026. Texas REALTORS® revised forms take effect June 15, 2026.
Big items to watch:
• Paragraph 12 broker compensation updates
• New disclosure requirements
• Updated notice delivery options
• Cleaner addenda/notices sections
• Removal of broker-to-broker compensation language from several forms
• New water, property condition, and listing amendment forms
Bottom line: know the changes before you’re explaining them mid-contract.
