What if a bowling pin had an ordinary life? 🎳

Meet Miss Jones—a sentient bowling pin whose daily routine becomes anything but ordinary in The Mundane, Uneventful, & Ordinary Life of Miss Jones, a solo exhibition by Dallas artist Dakari Butler.

Through whimsical mixed-media fiber works and interactive installations, you’ll follow Miss Jones as she gets ready for work, drives home, eats dinner, writes in her diary, and settles in for the night.

But here’s the twist…

You’re invited to touch the art.

Open her makeup bag. Shake her pill organizer. Explore her jewelry box. Stir her spaghetti pot. Read her diary.

Dakari challenges the traditional “look but don’t touch” gallery experience, inviting visitors to engage with the work through touch, sound, and curiosity.
