Today Acting Technique II came early to give Acting Technique I students advice as they enter into working on their monologues!

Tonight we hosted our April Improv Night! What a lovely group, we had a blast!

Happy first day of classes to our Spring 2026 Acting Technique I - Saturday Session! ✨

Next session of Acting Technique I at The Playground Acting Program in partnership with Teatro Dallas starts this Saturday. Come join our creative community!

Students will read a published play, memorize a 60-90-second monologue, build a character, and learn how to fight for what the character is trying to achieve to create a powerful performance. We will spend the first four weeks investigating foundational acting techniques and the last four weeks applying the methods to the monologues. When the class concludes students will be able to use the monologues for auditions.
