Meet The Olive Ridley Project’s 200th patient, Muraka!! She is a juvenile olive ridley that was found floating abnormally and unable to dive. Upon arrival, she was rehydrated, had her blood analyzed, and had X-rays taken which showed a severe accumulation of air in her body cavity which was causing discomfort. After draining some of this air, she began receiving therapy for an infection and has already undergone three procedures to drain additional air in her body cavity. Furthermore, the team has also found plastic in her f***s, which is a worrying sign. The amazing team at is hopeful that with time she will be able to heal!
