We’re honored to announce the 4th Annual Markert Strong Scholarship, created in memory of Jackson Markert and the legacy he left behind.

Established to honor a student who reflects the qualities Jackson lived by — kindness, integrity, perseverance, and a heart for others — this scholarship allows his spirit of giving back to live on.

The Markert Strong Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors attending Waxahachie High School.
Eligibility requirements and application details can be found via the link/QR code.

This year holds extra meaning for us, as this would have been Jackson’s senior year. Our hope is that the impact he made during his 14 years on earth continues through this scholarship and the students it supports.

Thank you for helping us continue Jackson’s legacy. ❤️🖤❤️

This past week, we provided gifts to Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas to kids who will be inpatient during this year on Christmas. It means a lot to us to have the support to be able to do this, and we are so grateful for our volunteers (who are also Jackson’s friends) for delivering these gifts. This is something we’ve been doing ever since Jackson spent Christmas at that same hospital back in 2010.

Thank you to all of the people who have donated to Markert Strong this year, allowing us to carry on Jackson’s legacy of kindness and giving. Your generosity allows us to continue the mission of helping families who are impacted by child loss and childhood cancer.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, from all of us here at Markert Strong 🎄🎅🏼🎗️

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us yesterday! Your donations will have an impact on many lives throughout the childhood cancer and child loss community. Also, a HUGE thank you to The Avenue Church and the volunteers who helped make this fundraiser possible! For those who couldn’t make it, we hope to see you on Wednesday evening. 🎗️♥️🎗️

🎗🎗 It's almost time for everything GOLD!! 🎗🎗

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and for the last few years, WISD has committed to honoring our students and their families who have been impacted by childhood cancer and the difficult journey that it is.

🎗This year we are joined by even more support in our amazing community. The City of Waxahachie, the Waxahachie Chamber, and dozens of our Downtown and Uptown Merchants will be joining us to spread awareness! You will begin to see yellow ribbons all around town in an effort to show our love and support to our families!

🎗 Proceeds from sales and donations will support these local childhood cancer organizations: Markert Strong, Brave Like Ellie, Parker's Pals, and Anna's Bake Sale Foundation
