BLACK & WHITE FRIDAY
“Stop Screaming ‘Free Them’ When You Helped Cage Them”
By Coach Byron

Let’s be honest.
Too many yelling “Free my bro” were the same ones feeding him poison, pushing the drama, or staying silent when they could’ve redirected him.
You weren’t trying to free him then—you were part of the problem.

If you really love them, help them stay free.
Pour wisdom into them.
Correct them.
Hold them accountable.

Don’t just scream “Free them” when the cuffs click.
Be the reason they never see a cell.

"The Truth About Real Friends and Family"

Have you ever found yourself at the bottom of a pit so deep that it felt impossible to climb out? Maybe you lost your job, your home, or found yourself drowning in debt. Perhaps you went through a painful divorce or lost someone you deeply loved.

In those moments, who truly stood by your side? How many of the people who claim to love you actually showed up? Did you fall to your knees and call on them, or did you turn to God for strength and guidance?

The truth is, many of us have people in our lives who are only present during holidays, family gatherings, or when they need something from us. But when we are struggling, when we have nothing left to give, the crowd gets smaller.

About 99% of the people who say they love you may not actually love you—they love what they can gain from you. That means if you have ten friends, maybe only one is truly there for you with no hidden motives. And for some, like me, that number was zero.

So today, take a step back and ask yourself: Do I have real friends and family, or do I just have people who are around for convenience? Let go of what no longer serves you, and see who remains. The truth might be a hard pill to swallow, but it will set you free.

"The Power of Transition: From Struggle to Strength"

In life, we all face moments that are beyond our control—challenges that test us, shape us, and push us into transition. Looking back at my own journey, I see how far I’ve come. God has prepared me for many things, including one of the hardest transitions of my life—the passing of my mother.

I give God all the praise and glory for blessing me with an incredible mother and for giving me the strength to lean on Him in times of need. Instead of turning to things that would harm me, I now seek Him for comfort, guidance, and peace.

We will all experience transitions at some point, but I encourage you to smile through the challenges. God will keep you grounded, humble, and at peace, reminding you that everything will be okay. My journey—from the pit to freedom—has been a rollercoaster, but I have no regrets. No matter how strong the storm, I will keep pushing forward, moving from darkness into light.

To those fighting the battle between good and evil, stay positive and keep doing good. God will cover you every step of the way. There will be rough days, but there will also be good days. Trust that good will carry you and strengthen you daily.

So, smile, stand strong, and know that you are more than enough. God has you covered. Amen.
