After years of feeling alone, I honestly didn't think I'd find love again. But then I met Brian. He was gentle, kind, and made me feel seen for the first time in a long while. When he asked me to move in with him, it felt like a fresh start. A second chance. So I packed up my things and brought my son David (5M) with me. Brian has a daughter, Alicia (6F), and I truly hoped we'd blend into one happy little family.
At first, everything seemed beautiful. We laughed a lot, shared dinners, and it finally felt like home. But after a few weeks, I started to notice my son wasn't himself. My curious, bubbly boy became quiet. He stuck to my side like glue and barely touched his toys anymore.
I couldn't figure it out, until one night, I heard whispering coming from his room. First David's voice and then... oh my God.
