This is the photo that started my quest to find out everything I could about my uncle, which eventually led me to writing a book. When I was around 8 years old I found this photo in one of my parent's dresser drawers. I had no idea at the time that it was my uncle, someone I never knew existed. But when I asked my mother who he was, she told me that he was my Uncle Jimmy, my dad's brother who was in the Air Force but never came home from the Korean War. She then told me I was named after him, which sparked my curiosity enough to begin my search for a fighter pilot's life. The prologue of the book tells my story of how this was accomplished.
