SGT did it!!! Again!!

After a full week-long trial in federal court before the Hon. Jane J. Boyle, a federal jury of eight citizens found our client was unlawfully fired because of her pregnancy and had her FMLA leave rights interfered with. The jury gave our client every penny of her lost wages plus something for her mental pain and suffering. AND, the jury assessed $75,000 against defendant in punitive damages for its unlawful conduct!!!!

Major kudos to my partner, Brittney Thompson, who worked this case up from the beginning, defeated multiple attempts by defendant to have the case thrown out, and believed in our client from day one! And an amazing job done by my partner, Jamie Gilmore, cross-examining the defendant’s head of HR and pointing out the lack of training and efforts to follow the law, which led to the punitive damages finding!!!

This was truly a team win by SGT!!!
