The church must be a place where people encounter Jesus, not a place where they feel pushed away from Him. Every person who walks through the doors is made in the image of God and deserves to be treated with honor. 💙

Represent Jesus well. Let your life make the Gospel visible! 🙌🏿

What is one way we can better show the love of Jesus to the people around us? 💬⬇️

July 17, 2026: Uncommon Grace

Devotional
The story of the Prodigal Son does not end with a lecture. It ends with a party. Music, dancing, a feast, and a Father who could not stop celebrating because His child who was lost had come home.

This is the heart of the gospel. Not that God tolerates us when we return, but that He celebrates us. Not that He reluctantly takes us back, but that He runs to meet us. Not that He reminds us of our failures, but that He covers them with grace so uncommon it does not make sense by any human standard.

He did not wait for the son to get cleaned up. He did not wait for a full explanation or a proven track record of better behavior. He saw him coming and that was enough.

No matter how far you have gone, no matter what you have forfeited, no matter how long you have been away, the door is open. The Father is watching. And the moment you turn back toward Him, He is already moving toward you.

You are never alone in this. You are never too far. And you are never too broken for His grace to reach.

Come home. The celebration is already being prepared.

Bible Verse
"For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry." - Luke 15:24

Reflection Question
What would it look like in your daily life to truly live as someone who has been fully welcomed home by God rather than someone still trying to earn their way back?

Quote
"Uncommon grace. That when you come back and when you have forfeited and when you should have lost everything that God so loved you that He gave His only begotten son to die in your place."

Prayer
Father, thank You for Your uncommon grace that runs toward me even when I have wandered far. Help me to live today as someone who is fully loved, fully restored, and fully home. Amen.

July 16, 2026: Restored, Not Just Forgiven

Devotional
When the Father welcomed His son home, He did not just let Him back in the door. He threw a celebration and dressed him up before he even had a chance to wash off the hog pen.

The robe was a sign of restoration. The ring was a sign of relationship, a symbol of belonging and identity in the family. The shoes on his feet were a declaration that this young man was not coming home as a servant. He was coming home as a son.

That is the kind of grace that is hard to fully take in. Not just forgiveness, but full restoration. Not just a second chance, but a complete return to belonging.

God does not forgive you and then keep you at arm's length. He does not let you back in but remind you every day of what you did. When you come home, He restores you. He puts the robe back on your shoulders. He puts the ring back on your finger. He reminds you of who you are.

You are not a servant trying to earn your place. You are a son. You are a daughter. You belong to the Most High God, and nothing you have done changes that identity when you come back to Him.

Let that sink in today. You are not just tolerated. You are fully restored.

Bible Verse
"But the Father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on Him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on His feet." - Luke 15:22

Reflection Question
Is there an area where you have accepted forgiveness from God but still struggle to believe you are fully restored and belong to Him?

Quote
"We see the robe of restoration and we see the ring of relationship. He puts shoes on his feet because he is not going to be a servant. He will forever be a son."

Prayer
Lord, help me to receive not just Your forgiveness but Your full restoration. Remind me today that I am Your child, not a servant trying to earn my place. Amen.

July 15, 2026: The Father Who Runs

Devotional
In the culture of the first century, a grown man of dignity and status simply did not run. Running meant hiking up your robe, exposing your legs, and throwing aside every concern for how you looked. It was considered beneath a man of honor.

And yet, when the Father in this story saw His son coming from a long way off, He ran.

He ran before anyone else could reach the boy. In that culture, a ceremony called the Kezazah could be performed when someone had brought deep shame to their family and community. It was a public act of permanent rejection. The Father ran to make sure that never happened. He threw himself on his son, dirty and broken as he was, and covered him with love before anyone could disqualify him.

This is a picture of God's heart toward you. He does not wait for you to clean yourself up. He does not hold back until you have proven you are serious. He runs toward you in your mess, in your shame, in your worst moment.

You are never too far gone. You are never too dirty. You are never too late. The Father is already moving in your direction, and His arms are already open.

No matter what you have done or how long you have been away, you are not disqualified. You are pursued.

Bible Verse
"And he arose, and came to his Father. But when he was yet a great way off, his Father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on His neck, and kissed Him." - Luke 15:20

Reflection Question
Do you ever feel like you have to earn your way back to God before He will accept you, and how does the image of the running Father challenge that belief?

Quote
"Before anybody could reach the boy, before anybody could come to him and tear their garment or break apart, symbolizing that he had done something to forever break his Father's heart. And that he would forever be ostracized. The Father ran to the boy before anybody could disqualify Him."

Prayer
God, thank You for not waiting on me to get it right before You loved me. Help me to receive Your grace without feeling like I have to earn it first. Amen.
