At our MIL1 project in Segrate, Milan, building for the future also means honouring the site’s past.
Working with the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci, our team helped preserve historically significant materials from the former Centro Informazione Studi Esperienze (CISE) site - a pioneering research institute established in 1946 with cutting-edge labs focused on advancing nuclear energy solutions for peaceful applications.
Before construction began, these materials were carefully recovered and entrusted to the Museum, helping ensure this important legacy remains accessible for public learning and research.
Among the preserved artifacts:
→ A portion of the CISE archive (~50 linear meters), including site plans, research records, and personnel documents spanning the 1960s–1990s
→ The prototype of a “cask” originally designed for radioactive waste containment
These materials reflect the CISE's pioneering role in nuclear and renewable energy, and its contribution to Italy's scientific and industrial development.
For us, responsible development means honouring what came before, even as we build what comes next.
