Sometimes we’re our own worst enemy, because we hold on to the toxicity, drama, and trauma that come into our lives. We say we wanna heal and do absolutely nothing to do so.

The first step for me was admitting to myself that I wore a mask as a way of hiding my pain. Somehow I had normalized feeling inadequate, with low self esteem and anxiety with a side of lacking confidence in myself. It wasn’t until the mask became not only my shield but my captor as well. If I was to break free of what held me back I would have to be willing to do the work and face off with what now hid in the shadows of my life.
