Today is the first day of school at the new Jill Stone Elementary! A few years ago in 2018, the site was a group of old run down apartments known as North Park Terrace. I remember after they were demolished, it was an open field so my dog could have loads of fun playing fetch! That was short lived because construction started! Every day since I saw a lot of heavy cranes and huge concrete pourers and dozens of men and women in hard hats working so hard rain or shine hot or cold (well minus the big winter storms back in February lol)!

Fast forward to this morning, there’s a new bigger school double the size of the old school outside my apartment that can serve more kids in my neighborhood! 😃❤️

Shot from my iPhone outside my home this evening, I’ve been watching these dear men and women with their hard hats work tirelessly for 2+ years to turn a eyesore of apartments into a new school! It’s so much closer to completion! I can’t wait to hear the bells ring and the kiddos of Vickery Midtown can play and learn at the new Jill Stone Elementary School! 👷🏽‍♀️👷🏾‍♂️🚧🏫
