Dear Sigma Phi Alpha members,

It saddens us to send this letter, but we are sure you will understand and will agree with the decision to cancel the Beta Chapter - 2020 Sigma Phi Alpha Luncheon and Induction Ceremony that was scheduled for May 2, 2020.
As you know, due to the current situation with COVID-19, state and local mandated restrictions prevent public events and gatherings. Although the SPA Luncheon is more than a month away, it is impossible to know what our restrictions will be in early May.
As a reminder, the purpose of Sigma Phi Alpha is to promote, recognize, and honor scholarship, leadership, and service among dental hygiene graduates. There could be no better opportunity than for each of us to lead and serve at a time such as this. We will be in touch throughout the year. For now, our wish for each of you is that you remain healthy!

Calling all members of the Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Alpha! Many of you have said you would like to have some events in addition to our annual new member induction dinner. So, Saturday, December 7, 2019, 9:00-11:00 a.m. we will work at a food packing event at Feed My Starving Children in Richardson. www.fmsc.org if you have done one of these events, you know they are fast paced and so fun! And, what makes this even better is that you can bring your family - children age 5 and up to work along side with you. What better way to start the season of giving? Here’s the part where you need to pay attention - - We could only get 25 spots on that date. If you want to join us on Saturday, December 7, 9:00-11:00 send an email to me - I am the Beta Chapter President this year. (Tonya Smith Ray) [email protected]. In the email list the names and ages of everyone who is coming with you to work the event. Once the 25 spots are filled, we will start a wait list. We can wait to see you there!
