Three job search tips we learned in last week’s Jobpod:

- Differentiating yourself: The # 1 thing that hiring managers are looking for right now is attitude – a positive, go-getter attitude will separate you from the rest of the pack, especially in a time of uncertainty and despondency.

- Applying strategically: Avoid submitting your resume through LinkedIn; instead, message the hiring manager or someone on the team directly. What’s to lose? At worst, they ignore you. At best, they respond.

- Knowing your market: Subscribe to the Business Journal in your area – these newsletters/articles will give you a clear window into which companies are still hiring. It takes two minutes to do but can provide invaluable insights. And while you’re at it, set up job alerts for Indeed and Monster.
