When Dr. Armijo performs a breast reduction, he is reducing the volume of breast tissue and reshaping the breast. The lift, or mastopexy, is built into the procedure.
A mastopexy on its own works differently. The focus there is removing excess skin to reposition, without changing breast tissue volume.
