Join us tomorrow, June 17, 2026, as we continue celebrating the launch of our Summer Meals Program at Leonides Gonzalez Cigarroa Elementary School!

Bring the family and enjoy a fun-filled event featuring free food, games and activities, music, community vendors, giveaways, and more as we kick off a summer of nutritious meals for children in our community.

No-cost meals are available for kids 18 and younger, or up to age 21 for those with disabilities.

Today, we celebrate more than the launch of our Summer Meals Program—we celebrate the power of community.

On behalf of Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services, Executive Director Debi Rowley extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make the Summer Meals Kick-Off a success.

Thank you to our dedicated Dallas ISD departments, community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and staff who came together to support students and families across our district. A special thank you to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, K104, our community vendors, and all the organizations that partnered with us to create a memorable day filled with resources, fun, and opportunity.

Events like this are only possible because of the collective commitment of people and organizations who believe that every child deserves access to nutritious meals and a strong support system throughout the summer.

Most importantly, thank you to the families who joined us today. Your participation is what makes this work so meaningful.
