This is the 5th Annual Program, and for the first time, it will be presented in Dallas. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge the pain many of us are carrying. Iโve lost two close friends to su***de, and just last month, I lost my little brother in the same way. Iโve also struggled deeply myself, having attempted su***de multiple times when I was younger. The last time was when I was 18, and I was so close to being gone.
Su***de, mental health struggles, and suffering are at an all-time high, especially since the pandemic. This event is in honor of everyone who has lost someone to su***de, knows someone struggling, or has personally experienced the pain of contemplating or attempting su***de. If you're going through something and feel like you canโt take it anymore, you are not alone.
Come out and join us. Letโs stand together, share our stories, and support one another.

I have been on a Journey for 49 years with this woman...
I have allowed her to be broken.
I have allowed others to treat her disrespectfully.
I've seen her fall, and STAND BACK UP several times, and be a light for the world, and love others despite all of it.
She has been bullied.
She stood paralyzed by fear while she fought battles in her mind, heart, and soul.
This woman has made many bad decisions as a human, daughter, sister and as a friend.
She has trusted and believed in people who didn't believe in her.
She can have a smart mouth, a stubborn streak, and can be a bit feisty.
She has scars. Some you can see, some you can't.
She has wrinkles and "wisdom highlights".
Some people love this woman, some like her, and some don't care for her at all...
She has done good in her life, and she has done not so good in her life.
Every mistake, failure, trial, disappointment, betrayal, success, joy, and achievement has made her into who she is today.
Sheโs not perfect.
She is unstoppable, gracefully broken, but beautifully standing and a beloved Daughter of God!
..and she will never stop learning, growing or moving forward...and helping others!
