Most whiskey brands obsess over the category. She obsessed over the consumer.

Alice Carroll, co-founder of Fox’s Bow Whiskey, saw a massive white space: whiskey felt exclusive, outdated, and not built for modern drinkers. The $7,000,000 Question: Was it worth it? 🏈

This morning, we we did a post-Big Game debrief and went inside the MHH Collective (our private community) to see which ads actually stuck.

From Budweiser’s masterclass in “American Icon” storytelling to Instacart’s high-energy disco-pop showdown with Ben Stiller and Benson Boone, the commercials were all over the map this year.

A few highlights from the Collective:
// Ally Golden is over the AI trend and looking for more heart.
// Alex Bargen, MA and Rachel Bartlett are here for the humor—from Instacart’s Coachella nods to Novartis’s “Tight End” puns.
// Cassie Tucker is weighing the “memorable vs. actionable” gap in the Coinbase karaoke ad.
// Elijah Khasabo shares appreciation for the light-hearted pokes between AI brands.
// Howard Lin loved the live IRL payoff of the Budweiser Clydesdales. (More on this in our latest episode with Nataly Kelly of Zappi)
