Our Goal for 2022 is to: Release the following: The Great Resistance Issue #2-- The Epic of Benaiah Book #1--- Gone Issue #1--- Lastly we will begin production on our most ambitious project to date (Details coming soon) .

In 2019 we began work on a new title (pictured). However before the project could be finished the creator passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. To pay tribute we will be releasing the few completed pages here on Facebook. We will keep you posted when we will be dropping it.

Our Story
Defiant Media Comics was founded in 2014 by Joshua L. Padgett along with Harvin Rua (Art Design), Exavier Poole (Writer), and David Sanchez (Producer) with 2 goals in mind...Tell a story and Make Something Great! In late 2015, Defiant Media Comics launched its first title, The Great Resistance, with little reaction. In fact, Issue #1 of The Great Resistance only sold 57 copies in the US. However, something unexpected happened when a tourist bought a copy of Issue #1 and took it back to his home country of Colombia. Within 30 days of our failed launch we had brokered a deal with a printshop in Colombia and had a standing order for 12,000 copies of Issue #1. The demand began to grow but only in South American countries and by the end of 2016 we had sold over 100,000 copies of Issue #1!
2017 brought a new challenge, re-launch and re-brand The Great Resistance title. Our #Resist won us a lot of fans in our South American advertising campaign but with a new, highly charged political climate in the US this campaign was presenting new challenges. #Resist was already trending and using the hashtag seemed like a good idea, but it wasn’t. We didn’t want to take a political stance we wanted to take a human stance and that’s when Defiant Media Comics did something amazing.
On January 17, 2017, we paired with an amazing group called, Operation Hope, a Su***de Prevention Team and since then have changed our call sign to #StandStrong. Su***de statistics are staggering; 44,965 deaths in the US per year from su***de, making it the 10th leading cause of death. Our goal is to not only to support a group that is putting a tourniquet on that number but also helping with life after attempting su***de.
