The initial writing sessions of Wilt presented some interesting challenges. After writing our first two records, we naturally defaulted to writing groovy, uplifting songs and had trouble achieving the darker kind of atmosphere we wanted to capture for this record. This is when we decided to spend four days in one of Chris’ family’s guest house out in Independence, Kansas(middle of nowhere), during which we found the direction we were looking for and ended up writing around half of the record. You can see our trip to Independence in the beginning parts of the official video for our song No One Cares, followed by highlights of our tour with our music brothers . This record represents Autumn: death.

We love how the songwriting and sound of this record capture the novelty and inception of this project. As wonderfully put, “What makes Calm and Clear so special is the feeling of nostalgia on an entirely different planet. The territory is familiar, but the scenery has been refreshingly painted with a different type of brush.” This resonates through the record, as Greg, Mike, and former member Shane disband their old project of an entirely different genre and bring Chris on board to embark on an ambitious four part concept album series. Befitting of the fresh line up and new art direction, this record represents Spring; coming to life and new beginnings.

This vinyl set includes all four albums, individually pressed on 12" standard weight, 45 RPM, colored vinyl.
Each record is protected by an inner sleeve and individual rigid jacket with the respective album art printed on the outside in full color with a gloss finish. Each album and jacket fits collectively into the outer box, which is a 12" rigid "bookshelf-style" slipcase with the combined artwork of all 4 albums printed on the outside (the completed deer head) in a matte, anti-scratch, laminated finish.
