Mr. Kalthoff reports on the "change of course" regarding the project. Fact still remains that neighbors and preservation groups are opposed to awarding such an important project to someone with no historical restoration experience and a sigificant diversion of aeronautical use land.

While this article is full of inaccuracies and unfounded speculation, it is informative on the highly unusual process.
Fact check: The suit against Reed was NOT dismissed. There are no dubious links between FCLG and Medrano, and Council was fully aware of the Landmark Commission link.
