Lemie McGarity Reporting:

A person in a suit and tie

Description automatically generated with low confidence Seek the Truth for Yourself

I encourage you to seek the truth by studying Scripture and spending time in prayer. Ask God to reveal His wisdom, and He will help you understand His Word. Contrary to common belief, Christ’s death did not eliminate the need for obedience to God. Scripture makes it clear that God’s expectations remain unchanged (Exodus 12:49; 20:1-20).

The State of Christianity Today

Much like the people of God during the time of the prophet Jeremiah, the modern Christian community has largely strayed from God’s teachings. Many have departed from the foundational teachings of Jesus and His apostles, losing sight of their Judeo-Christian roots (Acts 11:26). Instead of preaching the gospel of the coming Kingdom of God and the way of God (John 15:10, 20), many Christian leaders focus on human interpretations of Christ while failing to hold both the people and government accountable to His teachings.

Distortion of God’s Word

Theological institutions and religious philosophies have misrepresented the words of Christ and His apostles, leading to widespread belief in a false gospel. This misunderstanding has distorted the concepts of God’s love and mercy, resulting in worship that is in vain (2 Peter 3:16; Psalm 56:5).

The Missing Element: Repentance

One of the most critical aspects of true faith—repentance—has been overlooked. Christian theologians have not emphasized the necessity of turning back to God, as Christ commanded (Acts 3:19; Jeremiah 2:11-13; 23:21-22,32). This neglect has contributed to moral decline, societal chaos, and corruption among government leaders without accountability or consequence.

A Call to Return to True Faith

As early as 68 A.D., Jude warned about those who were distorting God’s grace as a license to sin. Today, Christianity often promotes inclusion and self-determination over obedience to God’s commands (Jude 3-4). However, believers are called to “contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints.” Do not accept distortions of God’s Word without seeking the truth for yourself. Christ did not abolish obedience through grace or faith—these are misconceptions wrongly attributed to Paul. In fact, Paul emphasized the importance of keeping God’s commandments (1 Corinthians 7:19; Romans 3:31; 6:1-2).

While salvation is by grace, this grace is not a justification for continuing in sin (Ezekiel 18:20-21; Hebrews 10:26). Christ bore our past sins on the cross, not the law itself. A truly repentant heart will naturally seek to follow God’s commandments and His appointed times (Romans 3:21-25; 1 John 2:1-5; Colossians 2:16).

The Words of Jesus

Jesus Himself warned that not everyone who claims to follow Him will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Instead, only those who do the will of the Father will be accepted. He cautioned against lawlessness:

Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness (1 John 3:1-4).’”

Jesus made it clear—He did not come to abolish the law. He remains the same yesterday (Genesis 26:5), today (Matthew 5:17-19), and forever (Revelation 14:12). “For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

If you claim to be a minister of Jesus the Christ, and are not teaching obedience to the Law of God you are practicing lawlessness! Remember, sin is lawlessness!

The book of Revelations is the last message Jesus sent to the Church. The knowledge Christ reveals in this book is largely overlooked by theologians, and it is totally inconceivable by most Christians. Read the message recorded in Revelations 12:9 “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”

You and I were born into a world already deceived about the teaching of Jesus and the Way of God. If we are following the teaching of Christianity as taught in the world we are deceived too. Deceived people do not know he or she is deceived. You can’t know what you don’t know, you don’t know. People of the world including the majority of those claiming to be followers of Jesus are blind to reality because of the craftiness of Satan, the ruler of this world. Satan has the ability to make a lie appear as the truth, as he did to Eve.

2 Co 11:3 “But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.”

Satan used the apostate Roman Catholic Church, and the Christian reformers, which sprang out of the apostate Catholic Church in the 1600s; Thomas Helwys established a Baptist congregation in London consisting of congregants from Smyth's church. John Wesley and his younger brother Charles founded the Methodist. Charles Cullis, John Alexander Dowie, and Albert B. Simpson founded the Pentecostal movement. These men and many others put forth a distorted gospel message of salvation not supported by Christ or His apostles. These men and their philosophy unknowingly trampled underfoot the blood of Jesus the Christ and the authority of our Creator, Col 2:8.

Satan is deceiving Christians through Christian Seminaries and ministers that claim the word of God, His instructions, are not suitable today for righteousness; teaching that because of grace, we are saved, and if you must obey the Commandments of God, salvation is not by grace or free. They teach a gospel contrary to what Jesus and the apostles teach.

Read what Peter said about the writings of Paul, Most Christians quote the apostle Paul, and gives him more authority than our Creator.

2 Pet 3:16 “as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.”

These misguided men didn’t read what Paul actually said on the matter, Rom 3:31 “Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law; Rom 6:2 “What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

1Co 7:19 “Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.”

Notice what John said:1 John 2:3-6 “By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

Christians have set aside the appointed times of God to keep their own holy times. God never ordained Sunday as a holy day, but man has. Check the history of the Christian church and see for yourself if it’s supported by the word of God.

Joh 6:46 “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

Consider this, if Christ kept the Commandments of God, shouldn’t we, if we are following Him? Matt 10:24, John 15:10

Look at what Christ says: Matt 7:21-23

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

God is calling His people to come out of the world and its way; to repent and turn to Him, Rev 18:5.
