Former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn is running for Congress in Maryland's 5th Congressional District.

Dunn rose to national prominence for his testimony in congressional hearings about defending the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, when a violent mob of supporters of Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building in an attempt to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election.

From coast to coast, our volunteers and survivors were out in their communities, knocking on doors, making calls, writing postcards, and doing everything they could to elect Gun Sense Candidates who are committed to ending gun violence.

When it was all said and done, our volunteers made an incredible 400,000 voter contacts this election cycle, helping catapult Gun Sense Candidates to victory nationwide, including Mikie Sherrill who was elected as Governor of New Jersey and Virginia Moms Demand Action volunteer Abigail Spanberger who was elected as Governor of Virginia!

And win, we did. Nearly 1,500 Gun Sense Candidates won their bid for office across the country, including 111 of our own volunteers who stepped up to run in the name of gun safety.
