My friend and brother, General Toxzik,
I have held myself back from posting about your demise since the news broke, because somehow I kept hoping someone would put out a disclaimer that the news of your death was not true.

But as I peruse through social media, I see your pictures and videos everywhere, not because you are doing a show or performing at an event, but because the actual event is that you are no more.

You were the elder brother everyone would love to have, very talented, respectful, and you never raised your voice. How you were the most talented yet the most humble is unimaginable.

I remember vividly how you put me on in 2010. You were working with Ocean City Radio at the time. It was an inter-school competition held at CPDM Hall, Kumba. You were the MC of the program “Brainstorming.” I won Best Comedian.
You celebrated me and invited me to the first-ever comedy show held in Kumba, at Banquet Hall, with the likes of Spaco, Zakary, and Alhaji Toronto…
The rest is history.

A couple of years later, we became friends and shared the mic at different events and platforms. You loved and honored me as a youngster, and I considered you not just a mentor but a superstar, you were already everything I wanted to become regarding the art.

When I began my event Night Laugh with De Oracle in 2022, you did all my voice-overs for almost nothing.
“Proud Manor, na my own way that for support you,” you said.

In 2024, “Original Story,” you said, “Proud Manor, I love your growth. I am proud of you. I will not only do your voice-overs, but I will host your show, ‘Original Story.’”

You came to Yaoundé, and the people were super impressed with the magnitude of talent you displayed.
Who go do my voice-overs again?
Who go call me say “Proud Manor” again?
General, you no do fine grand.

My heart is heavy as I write these words. I cannot imagine how hard it is for your family, friends, and fans.I just want to say thank you for the love, care, and support I received from you as a young brother and colleague. Earth is in pain, but for sure, heaven has gained a gentle soul.
