It’s that time of year again, where nerds everywhere can rejoice in the piles of free comic books falling on high like snow at Christmas. Every spring, comic book publishers release a new selection of free, special comic books & issue #0’s to provide an easy starting point for anyone to begin reading one of their ongoing stories & call it ! That means that whether you are wanting to start reading the latest Batman or Superman comic or you want to try one of the great stories from publishers like BOOM! Studios or IDW Publishing, this is your chance to pick up something new at your local comic book store. Most comic book stores will even have some great discounts to buy comics from those same publishers, so you can pick up the current & past stories from the very same comics that are featured in the free issues!

As always, we here at Dallas Geek will be hosting a live show at Madness Games & Comics in Plano, TX to give our favorite picks from this year’s selection of stories & show off all of the festivities that Madness will be putting on to celebrate the occasion. In addition to our shining personalities, Madness will also be showing off the LEGO talents of the DFW LUG (Lego Users Group); hosting demos from GodHand USA Corp (model building) & Kaligrafos - Calligraphy Guild; along with hosting appearances from the skaters of Assassination City Roller Derby; & so much more! Doors open at 9:00 AM, Saturday May 6th, so be sure to come celebrate with us & grab your free comics while they last!
