I’ve spent many hours in the studio with Richard over the years and it has been one of the greatest pleasures.

During one of our conversations I inquired about his passion for sculpting throughout his career. I remember Richard telling me “It’s Sunday and I could’ve taken the day off but I’m working because I love what I do.” That lesson has stayed fixed in my mind and his love for his work can be felt in every piece.
