JQ Engineering has joined national engineering firm IMEG, helping position both firms for continued growth in the Texas market. JQ has served clients since 1984, providing structural and civil engineering, land surveying and facility assessment solutions in multiple market sectors including aviation, commercial, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, housing, science & technology, and sports & recreation. The merger expands the firms’ Texas-based staff to more than 200 team members at offices in Austin, Bastrop, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Existing JQ teams will continue to operate from their existing locations, doing business as JQ, now IMEG.

With a diverse background encompassing the design of both new and rehabilitated water and wastewater treatment facilities, alongside the engineering of North Texas' largest pump stations and plant expansions, Josh Bronstad is a leader within JQ’s Structural Infrastructure team.

Josh’s exceptional organizational skills and passion for enhancing processes and workflows set him apart. JQ’s clients value Josh for his dedication to making their infrastructure projects more manageable and ensuring the needs of both owners and operators are met. He works to extend the life of projects beyond their initial engineering, with an emphasis on working in conjunction with owners and operators’ team members on system operations. He also excels in producing contract documents that result in constructible facilities, allowing seamless treatment operations during construction.

What truly excites Josh about the future of engineering is the prospect of shaping the growth and development of communities by establishing a robust infrastructure foundation, ensuring communities can thrive based on their water needs. Josh also is a leader in efficiencies created via BIM integration into the analysis, design and construction process.

When not immersed in engineering endeavors, Josh can often be found indulging his passion for travel or cheering on his favorite college football and baseball teams - Gig ‘em, Aggies!
