Veggies are important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Vegetables provide some of the nutrition and fiber your body needs, and some may even help reduce risk for heart disease. Let's kick off Veggie Monday with some cooking tips!
Many vegetables taste delicious when baked. Baking brings out the very essence of the vegetables, especially with squashes and roots. Place vegetables in a baking pan, roast for 45-60 minutes at about 400 degrees.Try baking some of theses vegetables:
• Collard greens
• Kale
• Carrot
• Butternut squash
• Celery
• Broccoli
• Cauliflower
• Cabbage
• Brussels sprouts
