Today, we honor Freedom.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. Generations later, that day endures as a celebration of liberation — and a tribute to the resilience, hope, and unwavering spirit of those who never stopped moving forward.

At United International College, we pause to reflect, to celebrate, and to carry that spirit of freedom forward with us.
