Today a federal Judge ruled on a court case in which an industry lobbying group was suing CA over Trucker Wages. The players in the case and the reason for the suite are unimportant. Whether you are for or against the ligislation also does not matter here.

What I liked was that federal judge, in his ruling, made the following statement: "Remedying complexities and perceived deficiencies in AB 5 (the law in question) are the kind of work better left to the soap box and the ballot box than to the jury box".
As a country we have to stop forcing legislation we want through legal judgements and, instead hold our representatives (at every level) responsible for working toward meaningful legislation that cannot be overturned by a courtcase brought on by an interest group or individual wanting to manipulate the law to meet their needs.
