We are back with another Where Are They Now Wednesday!

This week, we're celebrating Winnie (previously named Brother Bear). Winnie was part of our B-Named Puppies, who came to us from the Yolo County Animal Services Shelter after they were found dumped in a rural part of Yolo County. Winnie was somewhat of an outsider among his siblings and preferred the company of humans rather than other dogs. Well, he lucked out and is now the spoiled only pup in his new home, with a big family who adore him. He loves being the center of attention and definitely has his family wrapped around his little paw. We couldn't be happier for Winnie and his family!

For anyone curious, one of the B-Named Puppies was DNA tested, and the results came back as 49.7% German Shepherd, 23.9% Australian Cattle Dog, and 26.6% Supermutt (this includes small percentages of Miniature Pinscher, Miniature Poodle, Chihuahua, and Maltese). No Dachshund or Corgi like we all assumed!

To support the rescue of pups just like Winnie, donate on our website, yolospca.org/donate. We are also always looking for new foster homes! The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save. Email us at [email protected] to learn how you can become a Yolo County SPCA dog foster.

ADOPTABLE: WREN

Wren: Professional Wrestler, Churu Thief, and Full-Time Menace
Cat's Name: Wren
Cat's Breed: Domestic shorthair
Cat's Color: Wren
Coat Length Medium
Cat S*x: Male
Estimated Birthday 04-11-2026

Okay to live in a home with... Kids, Dogs
& Cats
Physical Description: Wren is a gorgeous black short/medium-haired fluffy kitten with impossibly soft, bunny-like fur and absolutely zero plans to be a quiet, decorative house cat.

Personality: This outgoing little guy is a social butterfly who believes everyone is his friend and every waking moment is an opportunity for play.

Wren's favorite activities include wrestling with his four siblings, zooming around at top speed, investigating things he shouldn't, and committing petty theft involving Churu treats…and sleeping on the very top of the kitten-sized cat tree.

Speaking of Churu: Wren is obsessed. He would happily trade state secrets, family heirlooms, and possibly your car for a tube of Churu. If you leave one unattended, don't be surprised if you find Wren dragging it triumphantly across the room like he just caught a wild gazelle.

Wren is an active, confident kitten who will need a feline playmate. He must be adopted with another kitten or go to a home with a young, playful cat who can keep up with his energy level.

When he's finally worn himself out, Wren is a sweet, affectionate, purring machine who loves attention and being part of the action. If you're looking for a kitten (or two kittens!) who will keep you laughing, keep your resident cat busy, and keep a close eye on your Churu supply, Wren may be your perfect match.

Warning: Adoption of Wren may result in laughter, chaos, missing Churu tubes, and an unusually high level of happiness.
